Jennifer Manuel is the author of The Heaviness of Things That Float (Douglas & McIntyre), winner of the 2017 Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize. She has also received acclaim for her short fiction, being a Western Magazine Finalist and recipient of the Storytellers Award at the Surrey International Writers Conference. A long-time activist in Indigenous issues, Manuel currently runs the TRC Reading Challenge, an effort to get people to read the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report. Neil is a registered clinical counsellor who specialized in dissociative disorders and the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder. In his early days Neil was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, both in the criminal investigation branch and the security services. Neil has ten published works on the various processes of healing from trauma. His new interest has turned to historical fiction about spies and spying. He is married to Karen and has a cat, Precious. Neil loves to ride his Harley and is a cancer survivor.

Yvonne Rediger was born in Saskatchewan, lived and worked in Alberta, northern Manitoba, New Brunswick and has been a resident of Vancouver Island for the past ten years. She started writing when she was twelve and has never stopped.

Diane Gallagher is a freelance writer, novelist, essayist and poet, editor, social justice activist and retired teacher-librarian.
